Manufacture of mother moulds (male and female) in resin.
This is followed by two manufacturing processes :
The pressing process :
Lumps of clay are first cut to shape then squeezed between male and female moulds.
The finishing touches are added then they are left to fry for 24 hours in a damp room.
When dry, each piece is individually finished off by hand, imperfections being corrected with a knife and sponge.
Pressure casting :
Hydraulic pressure is used to inject liquid clay -called slip- between two resin moulds.
The finishes touches then begin
Once out of the machine, products are dried in the open air a dryer at 60°C.
Products are then enamelled. The enamels used are lead-free and recycled. They are cooked at 1,000°C to vitrify the enamel in a direct current electric furnace.
Finally, products are sorted and packaged
Quality controm is ensured throughout all stages of production.
